With a 27 year management career spanning public (education), private and voluntary sectors, Bob has built a strong track record of highly effective leadership, advocacy and stakeholder management.
He has both led and advised associations in various capacities as well as driving innovative outreach campaigns across various sectors and continues to provide strategic counsel to clients as part of his Chairman role.
Prior to assuming the chairmanship, Bob was Interel Group Chief Operating Officer for 5 years.
Bob has also held a number of voluntary positions including member of the Open University Governing Council, Chair of the OU Occupational Standards Board, and Board Member of the Open University Business School Advisory Board. He has also contributed to a range of other national and international advisory groups including the Africa Policy Advisory Group at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the New Deal Advisory Group at the Treasury Office, both for the UK government, and chaired the 1st European E-Skills Summit at the invitation of the European Commission in conjunction with the Danish Presidency.
Bob, who began his career in financial administration at Mercedes Benz (UK) Ltd in 1979, has degrees in theology, philosophy & ethics.
