He led the Interel team that won the UK Campaign of the Year Award 2010 organised by Public Affairs News. And in 2009 his campaigns for clients were shortlisted as Public Affairs Campaign of the Year (CIPR) and Campaign of the Year (Public Affairs News).
He was Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Scotland before joining the company in 2004. In this role he had responsibility for ensuring partnership working between the UK and Scottish Governments as well as for shaping departmental media strategy and liaising with Downing Street, Treasury, Department for Health and other Whitehall departments. Previously he was Policy and Research Officer for UNISON Scotland, playing a key campaigning role. This involved briefing Ministers, MPs and MSPs; undertaking research and preparing evidence to Westminster and Scottish Parliament Committees. George has also worked as an economist within the Employment Department and as a researcher for a U.S. Congressman in Washington DC.
George graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Hons) in Economics and Politics and originally comes from the Scottish Highlands.
