Baudouin Velge
 
 
Baudouin Velge is the Managing Director of Interel's Belgian practice. He is also Member of the Board of two BEL20 companies: Bekaert and Cofinimmo. He is Member of the Advisory Board of BT Benelux.
     

Prior to this, he was CEO of Fedis, the Federation of Belgian Retailers. In that function he was also Member of the Board of VBO-FEB, Federation of Enterprises in Belgium, and of Eurocommerce, the European Federation of Retailers.

Baudouin Velge started in 1983 as Attaché of the Department of Economic Studies of the National Bank of Belgium. In 1987 he joined the Philips Electronics Group until 1991, when he moved to the Cobac Group (now Euler-Hermes), where he was General Manager of Cobac Services Belgium and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Cobac S.A. From 1996 till 2004 he was Manager of the Economic Department and Member of the General Management of the VBO-FEB, Federation of Enterprises in Belgium, Deputy Chairman of the Central Economic Council and Member of the Board of Directors of Ducroire/Delcredere. He was also chairman of CREG, the Commission for Regulation of Electricity and Gas.

Furthermore, Baudouin Velge has teaching experience as Lecturer in Macroeconomics at the Universities of Pennsylvania, KULeuven, St-Louis and EHSAL.

Baudouin Velge holds a Baccalaureate in Philosophy (1978) and a Licence in Economics (1979) from the Catholic University of Leuven. He became Ph. D in Economics in 1983 at the University of Pennsylvania.
